Many people have questions about the process of making sure the foundation is done appropriately. Below is a quick overview of what to expect in a simplified version.

Here's a quick overview of what you'll need to do:

1. Excavate the area where you'll be pouring concrete. This is typically done with a Bobcat or other excavating equipment.

2. Once the area is excavated, you'll need to set the forms. These are typically made of wood or metal and help shape the concrete as it sets.

3. Once the forms are in place, you'll need to pour the concrete. This is typically done with a concrete truck and our team will ensure that everything is set to be the correct thickness to support the weight of the home.

4. Once the concrete is poured, you'll need to make sure that it is finished and smoothed out.  This involves smoothing out the surface and making sure that there are no air pockets or leaks.

5. Finally, you'll need to make sure that the concrete foundation cures properly before building on top of it.

It goes without saying that the foundation of your home is perhaps the most important part to get right. Messing up the specific aspects of the footings and foundations can be catastrophic.

That's why it's always best to trust the experts at Marble City Concrete for all your concrete needs. We have years of experience and know exactly how to get the job done right - the first time.

In fact, we have so much experience that there have been situations where we have been called to redo the poor workmanship of other contractors to make sure that it is done right.

We have also been asked if the homeowners can pour the foundations themselves to save money. We do not recommend this approach. You will want to make sure to hire a company that has a lot of experience and can ensure that positive result. Otherwise, you will be spending a lot more money than you saved.

Our goal with every foundation we pour into is to make it last a lifetime. Admittedly there are some things that are out of our control but we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional product that will last a lifetime and beyond.  We are able to do this by using the best practices and concrete mix that is designed for our climate.

If you are in the market for footing and foundation pouring and setting give us a call today. Our expert team is eager to help!
